Over the course of the two days, a series of events were held, beginning with the Base Camp Celebration in the Skier’s Plaza at the base of Whistler and Blackcomb Mountains.

The all-ages festivities consisted of live music, giveaways, food trucks, and fire pits, along with a beer garden for those old enough to partake.

Later that night, as the winners of the Campout Contest, a handful of lucky skiers and snowboarders made their way up Whistler Mountain, where they slept overnight near the summit for a sure-fire way to score first tracks the next day.

Joining them for the sleepover in winter-ready tents were The North Face athletes Rob Heule, Ian McIntosh and Nick McNutt, and to top it all off, the winners got to keep the camping setups they slept in, which included an Assault Tent 2 and two Inferno -29C Sleeping Bags from The North Face and two DownMat Lite 5 Air Mattresses from Exped.

During the following day, the Lucky Ride Up Contest was in full effect, where anyone riding the lifts on Whistler Mountain was automatically entered for their chance to win a host of prizes from The North Face, along with a heli-ski experience for two courtesy of Whistler Heli-Skiing.

One the lifts stopped turning, it was off to The North Face Store in the heart of Whistler Village, where the Lucky Ride Up Contest winners could claim their prizing, along with scoring an autograph from the aforementioned athletes.
