Vans Parker Szumowski Verse Boot Video Review 2024

"This boot is great for somebody who's getting a lot of day's riding."

Vans Parker Szumowski Verse Boot

The Vans Parker Sumowski Verse is a versatile technical all terrain boot for riders who push the limits. Boa Custom Focus Plus features two high-power reels that control three zones of closure linked by Vans’ exclusive Custom Slide Guide, delivering concentrated closure around the instep area for superior heel hold translating into precision and power when riding. A triple density footbed that combines impact cushioning with energy transfer, the V3 POPCUSH fights fatigue with anatomical shaping, arch support, a moisture-wicking topsheet and OrthoLite® open-cell top foam. Complemented by Exocap protection and a V3 SuperEuduro Waffle outsole, the Verse is also well-outfitted for backcountry missions and more capable of destroying resort groomers than ever before.

Who is the Vans Verse Parker Szumowski Snowboard Boot Best For?

"The Vans Parker Szumowski Verse snowboard boot is great for somebody who's getting a lot of day's riding. It's a little on the stiffer side. So the boot will break in nicely and still give you a long life. So if you want a boot that gives you a lot of feedback and allows you to really put pressure on your edges, this would be that boot.”—Jon Frye

Vans Verse Boot Test Notes

“I'm a fan of the nice dark colours and the clean look. It's lightweight for an aggressive boot and not chunky feeling or overly heavy, which sometimes you get when a boot is that stiff. Overall it looks really good. Nice aggressive sole, double BOA, and clean gator to keep the snow out. When I first tried the boot on, I slid my foot in, and it felt really good. There's a nice insole in there, and even though the boot's pretty stiff on Vans' scale, it's still really comfortable to wear. It has a nice aggressive tread if you're hiking around. You're not slipping in the parking lot or slipping when you're hiking an icy line. Another thing I like about these boots is they have these stiffeners which you can take out of the boot, then slide back in. It helps stiffen up the boot. So if you ride with the stiffeners out, maybe at the start of your season and then halfway through the season or next season, tossing these back in will freshen up the boot a bit. • Built to last
  • Great traction

Cons

  • Slightly bulky
  • High-end boot with a higher price point

What's The Bottom Line?

The Vans Verse snowboard boot is a high-end boot built tough for riders who get a lot of days charging on the resort and/or venturing into the backcountry. With plenty of tech and comfort, it warrants a higher price point. But for those who demand a high-performance boot to match their riding level, this boot is the truth.
