THE 32nd LEGENDARY BANKED SLALOM @ MT BAKER

For those new to snowboarding, the Legendary Banked Slalom is just that, legendary. One of the longest-running snowboarding events in history, the LBS is a special event for many. You can’t help but notice the culture and passion that surround the weekend and everyone racing and watching.

This past weekend, for the 32nd year in a row, a few fortunate boarders lucky enough to get their paws on a bib/entry were treated to ride the famous banks with a brand new feature this year, the toilet bowl. A 360-degree bank that funnels back through itself; something you have to see to believe and comprehend.

Another hard to believe part of the weekend is the number of super pro legends. Names like Terje, Dirksen, Burt, Basich, Makepeace are among the 450+ participants. It’s those very names and events like the Legendary Banked Slalom that fought to keep the heart of snowboarding healthy and strong. Thank you to all those who have contributed over the years and to all those that help keep it going strong today.
